Swimming Pool Liners

Swimming pool liners are essential to any residential swimming pool. They help maintain the water in the pool while at the same time adding some aesthetic values through its different shapes, colors, and designs. With the carefully selected pool liners, swimmers not only enjoy the water but also gets visually relaxed with the cool designs. Swimming pool liners mainly help retain the water in the pool and protect the swimming pool from any undesirable objects like dirts, weeds, and algaes. When installed properly and used correctly, they make the swimming pool experience a total fun ensuring swimmers’ convenience, safety, and satisfaction. Clearly, swimming pool liners add life and value to the pool and to the swimmers as well.

There are many types of swimming pool liners which come in different designs and make ups. They are specifically made for different kinds of swimming pools such as above-ground swimming pool and in-ground swimming pool. In-ground swimming pool liners are those specifically designed for sunken or in-ground pools. They come in vinyl with different designs and colors usually ranging from 20 to 25-gauges (with variations depending on your swimming pool’s needs). Since in-ground pools’ edges are mostly on-level with the ground, they are susceptible to absorbing weeds and dirts. In-ground pool liners help prevent these problems and even help maintain cleanliness of the walls by not allowing algaes to stick around.

The other kind of swimming pool is the above-ground swimming pool. Above-ground swimming pool liners are specifically made for this kind. They come in different types: overlap, unibead, beaded, and expandable swimming pool liners. They are usually made up 20 to 25-gauges of vinyls, though can be changed depending on the buyer’s specifications. The overlap swimming pool liner is installed by overlapping the top of the pool wall and firmly affixing it with a coping strip. On the other hand, the unibead swimming pool liners, also known as J-hook liners, is shaped like an upside down J and placed over the inside of the pool wall. This is a flexible pool liner as it can be fitted to any kind of above-ground pool. The other type is the beaded swimming pool liner which is installed by inserting it into a track or snapping it into a channel. Lastly, there is the expandable swimming pool liners which are rather tall liners and can be extended just in case extra vinyls are required to reach the deep end of the above-ground pool.

Generally, swimming pool liners perform best and last longer if they are properly installed and well taken care of. Some swimming pool liners are easy to install while some require the expertise of others. While swimming pool liner installation requires care and expertise, one can easily learn it and do it by himself.

Built-in residential swimming pools provide leisure, relaxation, and excitement to everyone at the convenience and serenity of one’s home. Choosing the right parts and accessories is then very important to add more value to the swimming pool fun.
